After a bad fall off the monkey bars at school,
the dentist pulled his two front teeth, and he knocked out the one on the bottom..
So for Christmas he can sing... "all I want for Christmas is my....."
The tooth fairy wracked with guilt, after the dentist appointment, went ahead with the big bill under the pillow.

October in Tucson

Both Max and Zane qualified for there "sorta" orange belt.

Half and half, probably means they are half way there!!

We spent Teacher Grading Day at the Zoo, with LOTS of our classmates.

Papa and Grandma came to visit & we (without the boys) visited some historic Tucson sites.

We also went to the University of Arizona's junior scientist day.

We made slime, kaleidoscopes, learned about desert animals and water reclaimation, but by far the coolest thing there were the BUGS!!! Here is Max with a giant Millipede...

Have I said EWWWWW yet?? He loved this thing, as well as the hissing cockroach.

Zane wasn't so keen on the bugs -- smart kid!!

This is our first camping trip in the new pop-up!!!
We visited Mt Graham near Safford, AZ. It is beautiful there, but the road up is not for the weak of stomach!


































At the very top of the mountain is a lake, here are the boys admiring the view. This was a crazy drive, the new puppy (see above) was dangling out the window as he apparently isn't fond of curvy road trips.



































And, of course we made smores!!

First Day of Kinder!! August 7 2008

The boys really enjoyed the first day of school. They love their teacher and most of their classmates.

Case Park Kid's 2nd Annual Mt. Lemmon Picnic.

In order to celebrate the end of summer and to escape the heat we had a picnic on Mt. Lemmon. The water was flowing and the kids had a great time cooling off and getting soaked!

Alex and Zane attempted to cross the stream on stepping stones, but they soon were knee deep too.

It is now July!
Mostly we just swim.
The boys have graduated to Level 3 in the swim lessons, they are regular fish and have mastered breast stroke, crawl, treading water and even back stroke. Next year the swim team 2012 the olympics!!!














Max saved his money and bought himself an underwater digital camera! These are the photos from that camera. Trust me, it is not a good idea to give a small child a camera and hang out in a swim suit.
















We have gotten a number of interesting pictures though -- lots of pictures of the walls, the floor, Max's Thumb.

In June we visited my family in Ohio!
It was green and it was HOT & STEAMY!
I think I lost 10lbs just from sweating!

Unfortunately we didn't take a lot of pictures, I think perhaps the camera was partially melted?
But we did visit the Cleveland Zoo, where one of the favorites was the Armadillo & Rain forest exhibit!

April -- Pima County Fair Day




Here are the boys on their very first roller coaster ride. They were READY!! Although you can't tell Zane is saying "I want off!" But they somehow made it through :)

Max loved the rides, his favorite was the CRAZY COASTER!!!

And here a cute little girl let them pet a cow! Although their favorite part in the animal barns is the Chickens. Not sure why, but they just LOVE Chickens!
