Zane was a SARSEF science fair winner.
He won two awards, one from Tucson Electric Power and one from Sky Island Alliance.
Apparently every one was impressed with his project, "Why don't Birds get shocked when they sit on a telephone wire??"
Max did qualify for SARSEF but he didn't win any awards with his project "Where do Fibonacci Numbers Occur in Nature?"; there was some heart break over this, especially when Zane got a $25 check!!!

This is the big loader truck and below is a picture of the copper extruder machines, they are like giant mixers that somehow get copper out of all that dirt.
