Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

We drove to Buffalo Camp just outside of Alpine

This was about a 6 hour drive from Tucson. We left the day after school was out and hung in the mountains for a few days. It was beautiful and cloudy and a bit rainy most of the way there.
There really is nothing like a couple rainy days to make the desert look like this.

It was lovely, but pretty cold at night. After leaving the 100 degree temps in Tucson the boys and Mom were a little bit cold, especially at night, when it got in to the 40's.

It rained most days for a bit, so we played alot of Cadoo and other games, but the camper stayed nice and dry.

The camp area was fantastic, the black river runs right along the edge of the camping area, so there is a nice flowing water noise and there is probably alot of wild life in the area. We didn't see anything, but if you haven't guessed, we are pretty loud.

The boys also got to learn to shoot FOR REAL! They both enjoyed it & were very safe and responsible little marksmen!!

Here are their targets!!!!
